Blind Contour Drawings
Searching for God is like blind contour drawing. It’s about maintaining a still and quiet concentration, trusting your path and not looking away from the source that you draw from. Blind contour drawing is not about a perfect representation of the object’s form (nor is it expected). It is however about our honest efforts to faithfully follow the edges or lines that we see. Blind contour drawing is not blind. It requires a patient awareness and pure observation. The better we learn to see, the better our hand will move.
